Last Minute Tax Tips for Microbusinesses
Mar 31st, 2008 | By Dawn Rivers Baker | Category: OperationsGiven what is happening in the rest of the economy, it should come as no surprise that most taxpayers are filing, on the lookout for a tax refund that can give them a bit of fiscal breathing room. Still, there are always those last-minute types — including a certain number of microbusiness owners who may have let this deadline sneak up on them. So, the National Association for the Self-Employed is doing its bit to help. NASE tax expert Keith Hall has been giving tax seminars around the country and answering Tax Talk questions. The tax help book Schedule C: From A to Z has been made available as a free download for all comers. And Hall joined me for a podcast interview on common microbusiness tax questions, covering the home office deduction, business use of the car and tax treatment of retirement savings. (The interview will be posted at the Microbusiness News Briefs Podcast web site on April 1, 2008.)
